If you cannot find a specific answer to a complex project, our team is available via [email protected] or by phone. We value transparency and precision to ensure that your final product corresponds exactly to your expectations.
Ordering Process and File Preparation
Which file formats are required for laser processing?
For a precise result, we preferably require vector graphics. The ideal formats are .SVG, .DXF, or .AI. Vector data allows our laser to follow exact paths for cutting or engraving without any loss of quality. If you only have raster images (such as .JPG or .PNG), we offer professional vectorization. This service is billed as layout preparation and costs 65 € per hour incl. VAT. Please note that correct file preparation is the foundation for the final approval.
How does the design approval process work?
After receiving your data, we create a digital draft or check your vector plan. Before the machine actually starts, explicit coordination and approval of the layout by the customer are mandatory. We only begin production after your confirmation to avoid errors. Changes after the laser processing has taken place are not possible, as the material has been physically altered.
Is there a minimum order value for commissions?
Yes, to cover the machine setup costs and administrative efforts, we have established a minimum order value of 30 €. This applies to both single pieces and smaller series orders. For projects that fall below this amount, we may be able to consider them as part of a larger overall order.
Can you help me with the design of my logo?
We are happy to support you with the technical optimization of your logo for the laser. However, complete graphic redevelopment is not part of our core service. We focus on vectorization and adaptation to material specifications. Details regarding our layout costs can be found on the Vectorization & Layout page.
Materials and Technical Limitations
Which materials can you process?
We work with a variety of 12 different types of materials. These include high-quality plywood, acrylic glass (plexiglass), various types of leather, as well as specific metals for our fiber laser. We use both CO2 lasers for organic materials and plastics, and fiber lasers for precise metal engravings. Please ask us in individual cases whether your specific material is compatible with our systems.
Are there materials that you do not process for safety reasons?
Yes, for health and technical reasons, we do not process materials that contain chlorine, such as PVC. When lasering PVC, highly toxic gases and aggressive acids are produced, which would endanger health and permanently damage our machines. We ask for your understanding that we consistently reject such requests.
What is the maximum size of the workpiece that can be processed?
Our maximum working area is 900 x 600 mm. This is the physical limit of our machine tables. If you are planning larger projects, we can check whether modular production with subsequent assembly is possible. For precise measurements, please contact us via our contact form.
What is the difference between engraving and laser cutting technology?
In laser cutting, the laser beam completely cuts through the material along a line. In engraving, the surface is only removed or discolored point-by-point or across an area to create an image or text. The costs differ here: while cutting is often calculated per linear meter, engraving is generally calculated per cm² of the processed area.
Delivery Times and Express Options
How long does it take for my order to be completed?
Our average delivery time is 5 to 7 working days. This time begins from the moment all technical requirements (approved layout and received deposit) are met. The exact duration depends on the complexity of the project and the current capacity of our workshop in Graz.
Do you offer express production?
Yes, for urgent projects, we offer an express option. In this case, your order is processed with priority. For this service, we charge an express fee of 30% of the total order value. Please check during the inquiry whether the desired deadline is realistic, as material drying or vectorization requires a certain minimum time.
Can I pick up my order personally in Graz?
Absolutely. We are located at Jakominiplatz 14 in Graz-Mitte. You can pick up your finished products during our business hours (Mon-Fri 10 AM – 7 PM, Sat 10 AM – 2 PM). This is often the fastest way, and you can check the quality of your products directly on site.
What happens if I want to cancel an order?
Since we produce custom-made items, special conditions apply. Once the laser processing has started, cancellation is no longer possible, and the costs for material consumption and machine time are non-refundable. Please read our detailed Terms and Conditions for more information.
Payment Terms and Legal Issues
How much is the deposit for an order?
To secure material costs and production planning, we require a deposit of 50% of the estimated total value. The remaining balance is to be paid upon completion or before the handover of the goods. This applies to all private and business customers.
What payment terms apply to B2B customers?
For our business customers, we offer a payment term of 14 days after invoicing. A prerequisite for this is a successful coordination in advance. The deposit of 50% remains in place even in the B2B sector for material coverage.
Am I allowed to have any logo engraved?
No. We do not perform engravings of protected trademarks, logos, or copyrights unless the customer can prove they are the rightful owner or an authorized licensee. We strictly refuse the processing of documents or official identification plates. By placing your order, you confirm to us that you possess all necessary rights to the submitted motifs. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
How is the price for my engraving calculated?
Pricing is based on three factors: the area of the engraving (per cm²), the complexity (Standard vs. Detailed), and the material used. Additionally, costs for layout preparation may apply if your file is not laser-ready. All prices include the statutory VAT of 20%. A detailed overview can be found on our Services page.
